Malik Kamran Shakir
Transportation & Highway Engineer, Traffic Systems and Road Safety
About Malik Kamran Shakir
Kamran builds roads that people actually move on. He spent his career between NESPAK's design floors, NUST's transportation lab and a UNESCO research desk, which means he has seen the same problem from three sides: the drawing, the data and the policy. His work sits where traffic engineering meets reality in fast-growing cities, signal phasing that cuts commuter time without new construction, highway geometry that survives real load, road safety analysis in places where the crash data is messy or missing entirely. He is fluent in the constraints developing markets actually face, thin budgets, imported policy that never fit, infrastructure spending that outruns planning. If you are designing a corridor, auditing a black spot, or trying to make an intelligent transport system work on a budget that assumes it won't, he is the engineer to put an hour with.
1:1 Sessions
Road Safety Audit Consult
60 min
Every network has a handful of locations doing most of the damage. Bring whatever crash data you have, even the incomplete kind, and Kamran helps you read the pattern behind the pins on the map. You leave with the fixes ranked by what actually cuts severity, not by what is easiest to approve.

Traffic Signal & Intersection Review
60 min
Send your counts, your timing sheet, or honestly just a phone video of the intersection at rush hour. Kamran walks the phasing with you and shows you where the seconds are hiding. Most intersections lose time to a plan that got set once and never revisited, and fixing that costs nothing but a decision.

Roadway Design Working Session
This one is hands on. You come with a site, a survey, or a rough idea of where the road needs to go, and Kamran builds the design with you on screen rather than talking about it. Horizontal and vertical alignment, cross section, sight distance, superelevation, drainage, the whole geometry laid out against your terrain and your traffic. Small link roads, service roads, plot access, internal estate networks and short bypass sections are the sweet spot. You finish the call with a worked alignment and the design rationale written down, so whoever stamps it later knows why every curve is where it is.
