Ramez Helou
Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth | Founder, The Academy for Sales Excellence | Professor, Hult
About Ramez Helou
Ramez started out knocking on doors in America selling knives, which is the least glamorous entry point available and probably the best. Everything since has been a scaling of the same problem. He built a direct sales force of four hundred people across Central America and the Caribbean, then spent six years inside Unilever's GCC business, first training the sales force and eventually running it, before founding an academy in Dubai that has been teaching sales across five continents since 2010. He teaches leadership and sales at Hult International Business School, where students voted him Professor of the Year. His method is built around trust and value rather than pressure, which sounds soft until you notice that his entire career has been in markets where relationships precede contracts and nobody buys from someone they find pushy. He works in English, Arabic, French and Spanish.

60 min
Hiring, structure, compensation, targets and why your top performer's results aren't reproducible. He's built a four-hundred-person force from nothing and rebuilt corporate ones, and has strong views on how to spot a good salesperson before you employ them.

The Deal That Won't Close
60 min
Bring one live opportunity that has stalled. Ramez works through the buying process rather than your pitch, who actually decides, what they're weighing, where trust broke, and what the next move is.
